Our fermenter available from 1 Barrel to 100 Barrels with an average 25% Head Space. All tank have a Dish top , Cylinder Body & 60 /70° Cone Bottom . Certified 304 stainless steel material for all tanks, with 100% TIG welded joints and seams with sanitary interior polish. Dimple Plate Jacket for Glycol Cooling & High Efficient Polyurethane foam insulated. All tanks use Tri-clamp connections, are designed for up to 14.7 PSI and tested at 30 PSI. We can custom fabricate any tank to meet your brewery’s space and height restrictions.
Fermentation is the process by which yeast converts the glucose in the wort to ethyl alcohol and carbon dioxide gas -- giving the beer both its alcohol content and its carbonation. To begin the fermentation process, the cooled wort is transferred into a conical beer fermenter to which the yeast has already been added. If the beer being made is an ale, the wort will be maintained at a constant temperature of 68 ℉ (20 ℃) for about two weeks. If the beer is a lager, the temperature will be maintained at 48 ℉ (9℃) for about six weeks. Since fermentation produces a substantial amount of heat, the tanks must be cooled constantly to maintain the proper temperature.
